65th Anniversary York Halloween Parade October 26 from 2pm-4pm!

BASIC PARADE INFORMATION:

• Date & Time: Sunday, October 26, 2-4pm

 

• Route: Market Street from Richland Avenue to Broad Street

 

• Organizers: The York Revolution, through its new “Eventive” special events partnership with York Traditions Bank, will continue to produce the York Halloween Parade, now in its 65th year.

 

• Parade Supporters: Presented by York Traditions Bank with returning additional sponsors including Shipley Energy, York College of PA, Downtown Inc, Bricker’s Famous French Fries, DCS School of Driving, and Crocodile Dog Marketing.

 

• Grand Marshal: Michael E. Kochenour Chairman, President & CEO York Traditions Bank

 

• Theme: “tradition inspired” - Floats and entries in the parade are encouraged to decorate and dress in a way that adds an innovative twist to a hometown tradition.

 

• Registration & Vendors: Entry forms and vendor permits are currently available right here.

 

• Non-Profit Registration: Pick up parade applications at any York Traditions Bank location, where they will receive a voucher for a fee waiver to eliminate the $50 registration cost. These waivers can only be obtained at York Traditions Bank branches, which are located at 235 St. Charles Way, 2450 Eastern Boulevard, 2305 Susquehanna Trail North, and 2170 White Street.

 

• Spectators & Volunteers: Up-to-date information is available right here

• Candy: Mayor Bracey has waived the city permit fee for parade entrants who would like to distribute candy while marching.

 

• Marching Bands: If seven or more high school or junior high marching bands sign up to participate in the parade before October 1st, the York Revolution will contribute $150 to the music program of each of the participating bands.  Menchey Music is also generously offering gift certificates to the three top bands in the parade based on the judging; $300 for first, $200 for second and $100 for third.

 

• Playland: On the corner of Market Street and Pershing Avenue from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. featuring inflatables, games, activities and music by DJ Marcos Delgado and M&M Productions

 

• 5K Fun Run: Angel Ambel/Devil Dash - Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. near Continental Square and the run will start at 1 p.m. along the parade route. Proceeds benefit Angels of the Park. Details are available right here
